An informational seminar to help families identify what is important to them in terms of schooling and to provide a starting point for finding schools which will be a good fit.

Spotlight: Takenotsuka Classes 竹の塚教室

駅から徒歩5分。
部屋内に子供達が自由に動き回って、
安全で遊べるフリースペースです。

The classroom is at Takenotsuka Lutheran Church. 
It is a 5 minute walk from the station.
The room is an open space where children and freely move around and play.

竹ノ塚駅は
常磐線・スカイツリーライン・千代田線・日比谷線・つくばエクスプレスの北千住駅から10分、
武蔵野線の南越谷駅から10分
教室は竹の塚ルーテル教会にあります。

☆０才～２才までの赤ちゃんとその保護者
☆ Baby Signing Time Class is for babies 0-1 years old and their parent/guardian

「Beyond」は「さらに先へ」の意味で、このクラスでは英語とサインにふれあうことを通して、これから学んでいく上での基礎をつくる機会です。
内容は英語とサインによる絵本の読み聞かせ、手遊び、歌、工作などです。
☆「Beyondクラス」は1~3才までの      幼児と保護者
☆ Beyond Class is for toddlers 1-3 years old and their parent/guardian

竹の塚　（足立区）：2016年9月7日　　Takenotsuka (Adachi-ku)： September 7th 2016

These classes are taught by Heidi - a Signing Time Academy certified Master Instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching various baby, children and parent/child classes.  She also has over 15 years experience teaching English in Japan yet retains the ability to "forget" all Japanese when teaching an English class in order to create an immersion environment which is optimal for English language study.  Her experience as a baby sitter and later as a mother makes her uniquely qualified for leading parent/child classes.  Heidi is an avid reader with a deep interest in childhood development and the Montessori method.

Hopkins and More Trains

Have you seen Hopkins?  
He's in a train station in Tokyo, wishing he was at Hawaiians!


 Hopkins saw this train as he was changing trains at a busy station.

 Do you know the sign for train? Rachel will teach it to you here.
Did you know there are 158 train lines in the greater Tokyo area?
Shinjuku Stn., the busiest station, has about 3.5 million people pass through each day.   Hopkins might be the only frog to pass through Shinjuku as he goes every week on his way to class.
Here is a list of the 50 busiest train stations in the world. About half of them are in the Tokyo area!

Hopkins and the Bullet Train

Have you seen Hopkins?  
He's in Musashi-kosugi Stn., Kanagawa, Japan!



Hopkins watched the bullet train speed by!
This train is the Nozomi Shinkansen. Nozomi means HOPE. Shinkansen is the type of train. While it is called bullet train in English, Shinkansen would be literally translated is "new main train line".

Do you know the sign for train? Rachel will teach it to you here.
This is the Japanese sign for Shinkansen. It shows the long, thin those that is a characteristic of the shinkansens.
